So that was my brief synopsis on the film Cinderella 2015, there are many more twists and surprises in the film to look out for.
I found Cinderella 2015 to be a really heart wrenching movie portraying meek
and innocent Ella who is kind to everyone no matter their appearance or demeanor. You just can't help feeling sorry for her.
Young Ella takes on her mother's last advice to her which is: 'Have courage and be kind. You have more kindness in your finger, than most people possess in their whole body.'
She lives by this principle in all her ways and this is something that really endears viewers to her. Her pleasant disposition ultimately sees her through all the trials she encounters and makes her stand out as different to her dear Prince Charming.
Cinderella, although emotionally motivational, also encompasses a great deal of humor, particularly through the characters of Lady Tremaine (Cinderella's Stepmother) and her two stepsisters Anastasia and Driezella. These two stepsisters are very comical and irrational, setting a huge contrast between their personalities and that of Ella. Cate Blanchett's depiction of Cinderella's stepmother is excellent and adds to the mood and viewer reaction to Cinderella's predicament.
Highlights of the film were the spectacular dress that Cinderella wore to the ball and all the elegant details of the ball. The tunes in the movie are beautiful and serene and will definitely playing again in your head when you leave the movie theatre. I am very pleased with the storyline and the balance between the original Cinderella story and the twists incorporated in this movie.
So Overall I would definitely recommend this movie.
This film is a brilliant one for the whole family; young and old will certainly enjoy this spin on the classic tale. It's a movie that leaves you feeling good and satisfied. Moreover it sends a moral message that kindness will bring you far in life, and that with a good attitude (like that of Ella), you can overcome anything that comes your way.
This film was released on March 13th 2015 in the US and Canada, March 27th in the UK.
