Unabridged Audiobook
This collection of short stories is very engaging. The stories have simple but entertaining plots. The author uses a wide range of grammatical constructions and vocabulary, and there is a good level of repetition across the stories. That helps to reinforce learning. I recommend for beginner and intermediate learners.
It was just what I was looking for as lower intermediate spanish learner. Cute, short stories in which I could understand most of the parts but also had to fix few words and phrases. So I definitely had to improve my vocabulary if I wanted to understand these stories.
I bought both the audio and the printed book because I am wanting to practice comprehension by listening, not so much reading. I can understand Western hemisphere (Latin American) Spanish and this audio book is definitely different in their pronunciation, which makes comprehension more difficult. Also, the speaker talks pretty well and slow, that make it easier to understand.
I really like this audiobook! The stories keep my attention. There are tons of vocabulary in each story. I love that there’s a glossary of words to remember at the end of each chapter. It makes it easier to define new words and I’m able to keep listening and learning new vocabulary while strengthening knowledge of grammatical structures. This audiobook feels also for intermediate level to me than just for beginner. Maybe volume 1 is more beginner friendly. It’s a great resource to have!
My daughter (9) has taken two years of Spanish (and me along with her), but I have always felt she could have a more expansive vocabulary. So far, I feel this audiobook is an excellent resource and just what she needs. Overall, I found it engaging and educational, and well worth the list price.
